Today, we remember and honor the innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the families whose lives were forever changed.

We also remember the brave men and women who answered the call in the years that followed—those who served, fought, sacrificed, and gave their lives for our nation, as well as those who carried the wounds and burdens of that service long after coming home.

Their courage and sacrifice must never be forgotten. May we always remember, always honor, and always be grateful for those who gave so much in defense of our freedom.

God bless those we lost. God bless our veterans and our service members. And God bless the United States of America. 🇺🇸 Never Forget.

I hope everyone in Greene County had a great Labor Day weekend!

Whether you fired up the grill, hung out with friends and family, or just took some well-deserved time to kick back and relax, I hope it was a fantastic break. Thanks for all the hard work you put in all year. You certainly earned the time off!

Really cool to see the Greene County Porch Stories project come together! I’m grateful to have been a small part of it by providing some of the aerial footage featured in the documentary.

One of the best parts was getting to travel around Greene County and capture some of these places from the air. I even got to bring a few friends along for one of the filming days, which made it even more fun.

It’s a great project by Greene County Historical & Genealogical Society highlighting some of the people and stories that make Greene County special. Looking forward to seeing and hearing more of these porch stories as they’re shared!

Beginning today, the Greene County Treasurer's Office is mailing 2025 Real Estate Tax Bills and 2026 Mobile Home Tax Bills, both due in 2026.

We know tax season can bring questions, so we've put together our very first Public Information Series guide to make things a little easier. It includes important dates, payment options, office information, and other helpful reminders all in one place.

Look through the attached guide and keep it handy throughout the tax collection season.
