We had a great time connecting with our community at Coffee with a Cop, hosted by the wonderful folks at The Giving Garden of Carrollton.

It was a beautiful morning filled with good conversation, friendly faces, and a reminder of just how much our community cares for one another. Today’s harvest was donated to Metrocrest Services, helping put fresh food on the tables of local families in need.

Wednesday was all about good food, good company and celebrating some of the people who helped shape CPD over the years. 💙

We loved having our retirees back for lunch and qualifications, and we’re incredibly thankful to everyone who helped make the day happen.

A big shoutout to the Carrollton Police Foundation for providing lunch, and to our Carrollton Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association for cooking, bringing the delicious desserts and spending the day with us. We’re lucky to have such great support from people who continue to show up for CPD year after year.

Always good to have our retirees back home!

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the first responders who ran toward danger when others were running away.

Members of the Carrollton Police Department joined first responders from across North Texas at the Dallas 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, climbing in remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Assistant Chief West, Officer Zangri, and Sergeant Powers participated in the climb, while Sergeant Martin had the honor of singing the National Anthem.

We will never forget the 343 FDNY firefighters, 23 NYPD officers, 37 Port Authority Police officers, and the thousands of innocent lives lost that day.

Never forgotten. 🇺🇸

Here’s a look at a few of the cases from July where automated license plate reader technology helped our officers and detectives develop leads, locate vehicles and make arrests.

ALPR is just one of many tools used during an investigation, and we’ll continue sharing examples of how it’s being used here in Carrollton.

You can learn more about Carrollton PD’s use of ALPR technology on our Flock Transparency Page.

We’re getting ready to welcome back some familiar faces! 💙

The Carrollton Police Foundation is gearing up for today’s Retiree Lunch.

We’re so grateful for the years of service, dedication and sacrifice our retirees gave to CPD, and we always enjoy the chance to bring them back together and celebrate them.

A big thank you to the Carrollton Police Foundation for helping make today possible and for continuing to support our officers, both past and present.

SCAM ALERT

We recently had someone report receiving a scam call from a person pretending to be a Carrollton Police detective. The caller made the situation sound urgent and tried to get money and personal information.

The Carrollton Police Department will NEVER call you and demand payment. We will not ask you to send money, purchase gift cards, transfer funds, or provide sensitive financial information over the phone.

Scammers can also “spoof” phone numbers, making a call appear to come from a legitimate agency.

If you receive a call from someone claiming to be with CPD and you’re unsure whether it’s legitimate, hang up and call our Non-Emergency Dispatch line directly at 972-466-3333. We can help verify whether an officer or detective was actually trying to reach you.

When in doubt, hang up and call us yourself. A legitimate officer will understand.

A big thank you to Farmer's Fridge for stopping by and giving our officers and staff a chance to sample some of their fresh, healthy options!

It was a nice midday pick-me-up, and we definitely appreciated the treats. Thanks for thinking of Team CPD! 💙
