This week, participants in Study Hall completed a sanction project focused on reflection, accountability, and future growth. They wrote about what they’ve gained from Drug Court so far, what they want out of life after the program, then learned about SMART Goals and developed their own personal goal statements.
As the final part of the project, they created vision boards bringing their goals and dreams to life. In Accountability Courts, sanctions are not only meant to redirect behavior, but also encourage self-reflection, growth, and long-term development.
Our team joined in too as part of our biweekly team-building exercise! Participants were excited to share their boards with the Team during court and display them in the group rooms with their counselors. We are proud of the honesty, effort, and vulnerability they continue showing in recovery.
