Flattening cardboard boxes before placing them in recycling bins creates additional space. This extra room allows more members of our community to utilize the recycling bins. This simple action directly contributes to effective community service by maximizing bin capacity and ensuring that everyone has access to recycling facilities.

It is crucial to never throw recycling materials on the ground, even when bins are full. Responsible recycling means respecting the environment and avoiding littering at all costs. By following these guidelines, we help maintain a cleaner and more sustainable community for everyone. ♻️Right!

Did you know Amazon has a free recycling program?! ♻️

It's part of Amazon's commitment to sustainability and keeping e-waste out of landfills.

♻️ the following items for free:
E-Readers
Tablets
Streaming Media (i.e. Fire TV)
Smart Home (i.e. Echo, Smart Thermostats, Astro, etc.)
Home Security (i.e. Ring)
Cellphones
Fitness Trackers
Bluetooth Speakers
Dash (Button, Wand)
AWS Devices
Device Covers
Chargers/Cables
Keyboards
Mice
Video Game Consoles & Peripherals
Other Small Electronics

Here’s how it works:
✅ Step 1: Check if your device has trade-in value (you might qualify for a monetary incentive so be sure to check that first!)
✅ Step 2: If not, request a free UPS shipping label
✅ Step 3: Print your label, pack it up, and send it in!

All devices are processed by licensed recycling facilities where materials are reclaimed safely, and all personal data is erased or destroyed. If possible, we recommend erasing any personal data before sending if you can.

It’s a simple way to declutter your home and do something good for the planet. 🌎💚

Reminder: During the Carroll County Fair week, our recycling site is closed. Despite clear signage indicating closure, someone chose to ignore, thereby engaging in littering, which is unbelievable shameful behavior!!!
