This weekend, you’ll notice our station bays glowing with red lights. This isn't just a display—it’s a solemn tribute to the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

We recently spent three days on the water with the Chesapeake Boating Academy for the NSBC Instructor Course. We’re working hard to bring instructor-level certification in-house so we can keep our boat asset operators at the top of their game.

​With new equipment on the horizon, we’re making sure our team has the elite training needed to handle anything the water throws at us. 🌊

Improving our skills to better serve you! 🚤⚓️
​This week, members of our team wrapped up an intensive three-day NSBC Instructor Course at Kent Island. Big thanks to Capt. Sarah and the Chesapeake Boating Academy for the incredible training!

​By completing this course, we are moving toward having our own in-house instructors. This means we can certify our boat operators right here at the station—ensuring our crew is always expert-ready, especially as we prepare for new assets arriving soon.

​Better training today means a safer waterway tomorrow.

Had one of our training plans fall through this, but Ladder 10 wasn’t about to waste the day. Gave the guys at Truck 50 a quick call and they didn’t hesitate to bring us in on their training.

Spent the morning getting after it with some VEIS and forcible entry. Always good work, and even better people.

Goes to show the kind of crews we’re lucky to work with—no one’s looking to call it early, just finding a way to keep getting better. Training together like that makes a big difference when it’s time to go to work for real.

Appreciate Truck 50 for having us. 👊
