Tyler Perry's Madea said it best. To paraphrase... "It's easy to protest the Po Po until something happens to YOU!"

On Sept. 1, officers responded to a robbery at a business on E. Belt Line Road. Thanks to information provided by the victim and the use of Flock technology, officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle in Dallas and take the suspect into custody.

This is one example of how technology, good police work, and quick information from victims can work together to help us solve crimes faster and keep our community safer.

Vibes today. There is a saying in the Marines boldly painted above doors. "Complacency Kills." Knowing when to take action and when to be still in life is an art. God revealed to me today that nothing is hidden from Him. Know that having faith in His ultimate goodness and authority is different from complacency.

Since the 1970s FBCART.org has been around. There will be a booth with a family craft activity at the Carrollton Culture Fest on Saturday, September 26th 5-9pm at Trinity Mills Station. I was honored to attend my first board meeting today during lunch. Civic servantship is meant to be igniting, replenishing, and inspiring. Not taxing and draining. As a working family woman that realization has been a journey. Looking forward to the horizon and what art can do for our City we call home.
