Carrollton High School senior, Bardy Pace, sponsored by TAL Post 143 & 70 to take part in TAL Department of Georgia Boys State was one of two students that represented Georgia at the American Legion Boys Nation along with 98 other students that traveled to Washington DC this past July where they acted as mock Senators by giving speeches, organizing elections and rallying peers around key legislation.

Brady was awarded a $1000 scholarship for his election to president pro-tempore. He said he plans to apply the lessons learned from the experience to serve his community at Carrollton High School and beyond.

Bardy was also selected to lay a wreath at the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial along with Boys Nation Secretary of the Senate Johgn Alley Jr. where he had the opportunity to address his peers at the ceremony.

The American Legion Boys State and Nation programs are known for outstanding leadership development and is truly an accomplishment to shine among so many of our nation's future leaders. Brady is a leader at Carrollton High School, and we are proud of all he has done to represent CHS on a national scale said CHS Principal Dr. Eric Simmons. I know he will continue to do great things throughout his senior year. We look forward to supporting him and cheering him along the way.
