As Su***de Prevention Week comes to an end, we wanted to highlight a meaningful community project that we are proud to be part of!

Stop by our office today to pick up a Strong Mind, Kind Hearts booklet! πŸ’š This resource provides helpful information for kids and families on topics such as bullying, understanding emotions, self-reflection, and healthy coping strategies.

The booklet also includes local mental health resources, access to basic needs, and so much more to help support the well-being of children and families in our community.

We encourage families to stop in, grab a booklet, and take advantage of these valuable resources. You never know when the information inside might make a difference.

HHS recommends residents take these precautions to avoid mosquito bites:
β€’ Use insect repellent registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that contains ingredients such as DEET, picaridin, IR3535, oil of lemon eucalyptus, PMD, 2-undecanone or permethrin (for clothing only). Always follow the directions on the manufacturer’s label for safe and effective use.
β€’ Wear protective clothing outdoors, such as long-sleeved shirts, long pants and socks.
β€’ Limit outdoor activities between dusk and dawn when mosquitoes that can carry WNV are most likely to bite.
β€’ Eliminate stagnant water in containers around homes where mosquitoes can lay their eggs, such as gutters, buckets, flower pots, old tires, wading pools and birdbaths.
β€’ Install or repair screens on windows and doors to keep mosquitoes out of your residence.
β€’ Maintain a well-trimmed yard and landscape around your home.
