Tomol Interpretive Play Area - Carpinteria State Beach

Tomol Interpretive Play Area - Carpinteria State Beach The Play Area is located on Linden Ave., west of 6th Street.

The Tomol Interpretive Play Area was envisioned as a children's learning & play area and created by members of the Carpinteria Morning Rotary Club, the City of Carpinteria & CA State Parks. The park was designed to model pre-European life on California's Central Coast & Channel Islands and includes life-sized replicas of native wildlife species to climb on, Chumash huts to explore, the “Rainbow Br

idge” of Chumash lore and the park’s namesake “Tomol”—a traditional Chumash plank boat. Toddler, children & adult friendly -- the accessible park is close to the beach, downtown shops and restaurants.
