The Carolina Beach Police Department is deeply saddened by the loss of retired CBPD K9, Ammo. Ammo faithfully served our community from 2014 to 2019 alongside his handler, former CBPD Sergeant Stephen Baize.

We are grateful for his dedicated service and the bond he shared with his handler. Our thoughts and prayers are with Stephen and his family during this difficult time.

This weekend, Carolina Beach is welcoming some very special families for a weeklong stay, and CBPD wanted to help make them feel right at home. Officer Cole stopped by with a small bag of goodies to kick things off with a warm welcome.

These incredible guests are here through Little Pink Houses of Hope, an organization dedicated to empowering breast cancer patients and their families to live each day with purpose, direction, and hope. Their retreats, offered at no cost, provide a meaningful and much-needed escape for families who truly deserve it.

We’re honored to have you here in our community!🩷
