The Semiquincentenial/250th birthday of our beautiful country also known as the America250 Celebration is quickly approaching! Our Caro community America250 committee (which consists of a representative from Caro Chamber of Commerce, City of Caro Parks & Recreation, Head Start/NEMSCA Sean Smith, City of Caro Downtown Development Authority, Paige Rushlo, Gleaner Life: Caro Arbor, Caro Moose Family Center, American Legion - Caro, MI Post #7, and Caro Rental/Bobbie Fullmer and we have alot of plans for a fun, family friendly 2 part celebration to join the entire nation in sharing the spirit of America. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend all day activities on Saturday July 4th at the Caro Farmer's Market, Bieth Park for a fantastic foam party, then wrap up at the Caro Moose Lodge serving delicious chicken dinners (tickets sold by moose members), free live music and free spectacular fireworks on display. Then on Wednesday July 8th please join us for part 2 with a flag presentation, a community sing-a-long, a national reading of the Declaration of Independence by Caro's very own Mark Ransford, free hand held flags donated by Exchange Club of Caro, a free live performance of the National Anthem by local talent of Angela LeValley Stevenson and free bomb pops event sponsored by Gleaner Life - Caro Arbor 5:15pm to 6:30pm on the Tuscola County courthouse lawn.
