Another chance for severe weather is coming our way tonight:

There is potential for an organized line of thunderstorms to track
across SE Michigan between 9 PM and 1 AM tonight. Damaging winds in
excess of 70 mph, spin-up tornadoes, and large hail will all be
possible if the line holds together. Storm motion will be west to
east at 45 mph.

..A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 PM EDT FOR
NORTHWESTERN TUSCOLA AND SOUTHEASTERN BAY COUNTIES...

At 844 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Reese, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

This dangerous storm will be near...
Akron, Fairgrove, and Quanicassee around 850 PM EDT.
Caro and Unionville around 900 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Wisner, Gilford, Colling, and Colwood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

The National Weather Service is predicting a slight chance of thunderstorms this evening as a cold front moves through. These storms are not expected to be severe, but could produce small hail and wind gusts to 50 mph.

SANILAC AND HURON COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM EDT...

At 434 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Caro, moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Caro, Bad Axe, Cass City, Sebewaing, Harbor Beach, Ubly, Caseville,
Port Austin, Akron, Port Hope, Pigeon, Elkton, Fairgrove, Unionville,
Kinde, Gagetown, Owendale, Ellington, Verona, and Colling.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
