Carneys Point Police would like to congratulate our two most recent hires! Austin Geary and Linnaya Owens were both sworn in this evening, and they will start the police academy in a few weeks. We are proud to have both joining our team, as they have both already been serving the community. Austin has served with Salem County Road Department for the past few years and Linnaya served four years in the Navy! If you see them on Patrol be sure to say hello and congratulate them!!

Willie McBride was honored by Carneys Point Township tonight for celebrating his 100th birthday, which was June 13, 2026. Happy birthday Mr. McBride!

Starting on Monday June 22nd, 2026, Earle Construction will begin drilling on Georgetown Road in front of the old Saint James High School and down to the area of Pebble Drive. In the daytime while they are working, the eastbound lane will be closed. When they are done for the day, they will unhook their machine and cover the two holes with a steel plate. Nights and weekends, there will only be a lane shift just in the areas of the covered holes. The eastbound lane will be open on nights and weekends.

This Husky was found near the intersection of Georgetown Road and Golfwood Avenue.

The Police Unity Tour arrived in Washington DC this afternoon and they were welcomed by supporters, family and law enforcement. Thank you to all the bicyclists who participated to remember our fallen brothers and sisters, and thank you to all the supporters and sponsors who make this possible.
