Kitchen Aide/Floater
Department: Senior Center

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Senior Center Director

JOB SUMMARY

The Kitchen Aide/Floater performs a variety of routine manual tasks associated with thecleaning of the kitchen area, dining area and food preparation equipment. Also, will be responsible for the MOW route for Royston and assisting where needed. Will work a minimum of 8hrs Monday-Friday. Hours are 8am-4pm.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

● Loads, operates and unloads dishwashing machines and hand washes food preparation and serving equipment, utensils, pots, pans, etc.

● Delivers and stores clean dishes and utensils to proper storage area

● Cleans kitchen area, tables, cabinets, equipment, etc.

● Disposes of trash and garbage

● Brings food deliveries to storage area(s)

● Assists in loading food trays on carts or trucks for delivery

● Maintains and cleans storage area and assists cook in maintaining inventory control sheet

● Assists cook(s) in moving/lifting bulk food items, stockpots, trays, etc.

● Performs related kitchen duties as required and assigned

● MOW Delivery for Royston

● Assisting in other duties as assigned

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Requires High School diploma or equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

● Familiarity with sanitary cleaning practices, supplies and equipment

● Ability to use cleaning supplies and equipment

● Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written instructions

● Ability to read and understand English

● Ability to get along well with others

● Willingness to perform manual tasks; tact; physical condition commensurate

with the duties of the position.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSE, AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Requires a valid State of Georgia Drivers’ License. Ability to achieve Servsafe

certification in a specified timeframe. Clean Background

The work requires balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, grasping, handling,

hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion,

It’s been a busy and joy-filled week here at the Franklin County Senior Center! 💚
From getting creative and making bird feeders to care for our beautiful feathered friends 🐦, to the excitement of celebrating 8 Coverall winners each taking home a nice cash prize 💰… the fun just kept going!

And we can’t forget the highlight of it all helping celebrate our very own Mr. Ernest, who will be turning an incredible 98 years young tomorrow! 🎉🎂 What a true blessing it is to share these moments with him.

We love seeing our seniors stay active, engaged, and full of life. Cheers to more memories, laughter, and special celebrations! 💕

Our Easter celebration was a truly unforgettable experience, featuring Easter-themed games, picnic-style food, an egg hunt, rock hiding and ,opportunities for fellowship and memory-making that will last a lifetime. Happy Easter from Franklin County Senior Center 🐣!
