Just a Quick Reminder:

The Kiowa Tribe Special Diabetes Program for Indians (SDPI) will begin its first cohort today, Sept 11, 2026 for the “What Can I Eat?” (WCIE?) Healthy Choices for American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/Ans) with type 2 diabetes. This is nutrition education program that is culturally adapted for AI/Ans with type 2 diabetes.

“What Can I Eat?” is a diabetes nutrition education program for American Indian and Alaska Native adults living with type 2 diabetes. The goal of this program is to help people learn about healthy eating with diabetes. The program includes five classes with topics on healthy nutrition and diabetes, physical activity, and ways to make mindful healthy food choices.

We ask that all participants commit to the full 5-week sequence to get the full benefit of the program.

Each class will be approximately 1 ½ hour. (See attached flyer)

Incentives will be given at the end of each class for each participant.

Feel free to share with others you know who may want to come.
