We encourage you to take a moment and read this article. For the third straight year, Illinois is the top destination in the nation for women traveling out of their own states for abortions.

Then we ask that you pray for our state. As Kevin Carrothers, B*HFS Executive Director, says "...the church stands as a sign of hope and compassion through prayer, counseling, and support for pregnancy resource clinics, adoption care, and maternity homes."

Kevin encourages Illinois Baptist churches to take a stand and support life. “The growing reality of the culture of death in Illinois called abortion should grieve the church but also be a call to action."

Look what we have! Our LIMITED EDITION 250th B*HFS t-shirts! Do you want to be one of the 100 people that get one of these shirts?

We will have them for sale our our POPsicle event on July 2nd. We will also be painting a HUGE American flag on the front lawn for our adminstration building. There will be photo ops, free popsicles, and these shirts will be for sale for $15! The first 10 people there on July 2nd will receive a FREE shirt.

The 4th of July decorating has began in Mt. Vernon and more will be going up in Carmi tomorrow! We are pumped for the 250th celebration of the United States!

Did you know we are painting a HUGE American flag on the front lawn of our administration building in Carmi? Check out the flyer attached and plan to come out, take picture, buy a limited edition t-shirt, and get a free popsicle.

Don't forget to mark your calendars! We are planning and prepping for an awesome event in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States. Make plans to come and take a picture with our painted lawn, grab a free popsicle, and buy a limited edition patriotic B*HFS t-shirt!

We are painting the front lawn of the Devore Administration Building in honor of the 250th celebration of the United States!

You and your family are invited to POP onto campus on July 2nd from 12PM until 3PM to get your picture taken with the awesome painted lawn and enjoy a free popsicle! Our Baptist Children's Home residents will be there to pass out popsicles and spend time with the community.

The first 10 people on campus that day will receive a limited edition 250th anniversary B*HFS t-shirt! Shirts will also be available for purchase that day so make sure you swing by. We are only printing 100 shirts and once they are gone, they aren't coming back!

We are so thankful for our supportive community in Carmi and want to be able to celebrate the monumental occasion with those who want to come out! This is going to be epic!

We need your help to reach 100% of our Mother's Day Offering goal!

Mother's Day Offering gifts are coming in and we are a little over 20% to our goal of $230,000 already! Churches and individuals who give are the reason we are able to do the work we do across all 5 of our ministries. God is moving and He is working here at B*HFS!

Take a second to watch our Mother's Day Offering video which features a previous Baptist Children's Home resident and now B*HFS Board Member, Steve Richard.

His story of his childhood, coming to B*H, accepting Christ, and leading his family to know Him truly represents how great our God is. Though a parent was absent in teaching the truths of Christ in Steve’s life, B*HFS, supported by the church, has allowed us to step into that role to continue generational teaching in remembrance of what God has done and acknowledgment of that which He is yet to do.

Just a quick reminder that all B*HFS offices will be closed this coming Monday, May 25th, for Memorial Day. All offices will reopen on Tuesday. May 26th.

Herod Springs Baptist Church had an awesome Hot Rods in the Holler event over the weekend! This event benefited B*HFS. They had food vendors, goodie bags, door prizes, and an AWESOME turn out!

Thank you Herod Springs Baptist Church for being an amazing supporter of B*HFS. We are able to do the work we do because of the love and support we received from churches and individuals who graciously give.
