Summer days are brutal with training and work details, its hard to beat the heat and stay hydrated. Thanks to DripDrop and National Volunteer Fire Council for the generous donation of DripDrop electrolyte drink mix as part of the 2026 DripDrop Hydration Giveback Campaign. Cpl Thurman is coming home to be laid to rest. Watch out for updates on Campbell Funeral Home page.

Tomorrow’s the day we bring Cpl Jackie Thurman home. He will depart Honolulu, Hawaii around 1130pm local time tonight. His flight will land in Dallas before continuing on to St Louis where he is scheduled to land at around 245pm tomorrow.

After the Dignified transfer by the United States Army into our care we will bring Cpl Thurman back to Norris City.

We will travel across Interstate 64 and exit at the US 45 Mill Shoals/Fairfield ramp (Exit 110) and travel south on US 45 to Norris City.

We will post updates throughout the day on the procession and approximate time of arrival in Norris City for those wishing to pay their respects along the way.

Ladder 3 will be displaying the Stars and Stripes this Saturday and the Coffee Shop parking lot. (Main and Fairground) from 8 til noon. Stop by and check out the truck, we will also be selling shirts, as always thank you for your continued support.

Despite a little rain it was a great day to train! A special thank you to Tim and Larry Krack for coming over and teaching an Aerial Operations Class on Ladder 3. We took away some valuable information to better serve the community.

After training a few firefighter made the 75 foot climb to the top, great work by all involved
