We had a pretty full day packed with Democrat events.
JB and Juliana came to Harrisburg this morning to meet and thank supporters, Nancy Mitchell, Steve and I were there in the crowd. Then we were off to Marion to greet Senator Tammy Duckworth at the Labor Hall around noon. Then this evening I went Benton to a small meeting with a group of Ag supporters and the Governor.
After that it was on to the Kickoff Party of the Du Quoin State Fair with the Rednour Family as the host.
Be sure to go the the “100th” Du Quoin State Fair, this weekend there will be local and State officeholder greeting fair goers in their tents and events on the historic fairgrounds!

White County Fair is almost over. It was so good to see so many friends enjoying the fair all week, stopping by for a drinks, popcorn and signing up for the free raffles! The winners were:
1). Caleb Coston was the winner of the Smoker donated by Kelly Fulkerson.
2). Gail Schneider’s name was drawn for the $100 Huck’s gift card given by Terri Abell.
3). Linda Aud was the winner of the big Igloo cooler given by Patrick Scates.
4). Linda Moore also was a winner of a $50 Huck’s gift card donated by Nancy Mitchell.
5). Everyone that came by to get a free drink was a winner due to the generous donations from Andrea Hays, David Hays and Clint Spencer.
I’d also like to thank all the Precinct Committeemen and women who donated soda, water and their time to the booth. Here are a couple of the lucky 🍀 winners!

We had a good crowd Sunday afternoon at the CARMI Lions Club, for the screening of the documentary film, “Thirty-Nine Counties” from director Sandra Pfeifer. She followed, filmed and documented Glenn Poshard as he lead groups young and old around 39 courthouses in his old congressional district in peaceful, respectful and non-political March to promote civility and understanding of our friends differing political views. The message I took away from Glenn was, we can’t stand at the extreme ends of our beliefs. We should try to understand others thoughts. We all have to get along and each side has to give a little if we want progress.
Glenn’s 100 year old History Teacher, Mr. Endicott (center bottom photo) was in attendance and praised his former student for his actions to bring positive change.

Yesterday we had Governor Pritzker in White County to hear from the Agriculture community and others on how they could work together towards a common goal of making the state and people better.
He spoke and asked questions on a wide range of issues relating to Ag, Health,schools and infrastructure.

NOTICE TO PHILLIPS TOWNSHIP:
Tomorrow night, Tues, Dec. 1st, 2020 we will have our Democrat Caucus for our township at the Village Hall in Crossville.
If you intend to run for any office or position that will have to be on the ballot, you need to be at the Caucus!!
Please remember, we cannot enter the building until 7pm exactly, so remain outside until the first Caucus ends.
We'll see you tomorrow night in Crossville!!
