We were honored to welcome Bruce Miller, Distinguished Professor of Neurology at UCSF, for a fascinating conversation on The Power of Language—exploring how our brains shape the way we speak, think, and connect. 🧠💬

From understanding how language lives in the brain to learning how it changes through life and neurological conditions, the discussion left us with a deeper appreciation for something we use every day—but rarely stop to think about.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Miller for sharing his expertise and insights, and to our incredible community for showing up, engaging, and making the evening so meaningful.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Carpenter Hall for The Language of Architecture: Decoding Built Messages with architectural preservationist Elisabeth Cannell. It was a fascinating evening exploring how buildings communicate—both overtly and subtly—through design, materials, and form. Elisabeth guided us through the hidden stories embedded in the built environment, reminding us that architecture is not just structure, but language.

We’re grateful to our wonderful community for filling the room with curiosity and thoughtful conversation. Events like this highlight the power of learning together and seeing our surroundings in new ways.
