🌈🐾 Remembering Our Beloved Sunny Boy 🐾🌈
We are so incredibly saddened to share the news that Sunny Boy has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. 💔
For as long as we can remember, Sunny was a very special part of our library family through our Paws to Read program. Children would read to him if they needed to work on their reading skills, build confidence, or simply wanted a quiet, comforting companion beside them while they read.
Sunny never judged. He never rushed anyone. He simply listened. ❤️
His kind, gentle, and patient nature made him the perfect reading companion. Somehow, Sunny always seemed to know when someone needed a little extra comfort, encouragement, or simply a furry friend by their side. The joy and calm he brought into our library will never be forgotten.
We feel incredibly fortunate to have known Sunny and to have watched him touch the lives of so many children, families, and patrons. He became such a special part of our library family, and we will truly miss seeing him.
Our deepest condolences go out to Sunny’s beloved owner, Mike, and to his family and loved ones. Mike dedicated so much of his time to libraries throughout Putnam County, generously sharing Sunny and his unique ability to listen with children in our communities. We are so grateful for the gift they gave to so many.
To everyone who knew Sunny, saw him at the library, worked with him, read to him, or simply had the privilege of meeting him: please take a moment to leave a word of love, a memory, or a favorite story about Sunny in the comments. ❤️
We would love to collect these messages and memories and share them with Mike, so he can see just how many people Sunny touched and how deeply he was loved.
Sunny was truly one of a kind. Thank you, Sunny Boy, for every story you listened to, every child you encouraged, every smile you brought, and every heart you touched.
You will forever be a part of our library family.
🌈🐾 Run free, sweet Sunny. You will be deeply missed. ❤️
