Happy Flag Day! Today the Stars and Stripes are celebrated to commemorate the adoption of the official United States flag on June 14, 1777. On this date, the Second Continental Congress passed a resolution stating that the national flag would feature thirteen alternating red and white stripes and thirteen white stars in a blue field.

Women Veterans Day (also known as Women Veterans Recognition Day) is observed annually on June 12 to honor the millions of women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces!
