This video is from two years ago but is a powerful video.....remembering the heroes on D-Day. Their courage and sacrifice ensured the freedoms we enjoy today. To all who have served and continue to serve, thank you for your dedication and bravery. We are all forever grateful.

THE BOTTLECAP RACE WAS A SUCCESS. THANKS TO ALL THE PARTICIPANTS
Thanks for visiting our Museum, which was the home of Sidney Breese
Our challenge historic question was – What President was friends with Sidney Breese for 25 years ? Answer – President Abraham Lincoln. Everyone got it correct !!! and got a bottlecap.
And a photo with Sidney Breese was taken. I think the participant from the farthest distance was from Alton, Illinois

Sign up on Saturday morning between 8 – 9 am at the Carlyle Lake Visitor Center.

Look forward to seeing all the race participants on Saturday morning at our Museum.

Get ready to ride! Here is a map of all the challenge spots for The Great Bottlecap Bike Race this Saturday, June 6th. The event starts off at the Carlyle Lake Visitor Center at 9a.m. Participants have to complete 11 challenges in 3 hrs. All participants will receive a six pack of assorted Excel Bottling Soda and a chance to win prizes.
Those who would like to participate can sign up the day of the event between 8 - 9am. All proceeds go to the Friends of Carlyle Lake for environmental education and projects at Carlyle Lake.
