🍅Last year, our free produce stand distributed 300 pounds of fresh produce at no cost to community members, and we're excited to announce that we will be bringing it back again this year thanks to a community innovation grant by Medica.

🫛 To make this initiative even bigger and better, we are looking for 10 local businesses or organizations to partner with us by hosting a raised bed and distributing the produce for free to their community. This is a great opportunity to support community wellness, increase access to healthy food, and be part of a meaningful local effort. The program is grant funded, making participation simple and accessible for host sites.

🥕 If your business or organization is interested in partnering with us or learning more, please fill out this survey: https://forms.gle/4vXWmVxR8rLbbdyb9 . Host sites will be selected by June 1st. We would love to work together to make fresh produce more accessible across our community!

🫜The fine print: As part of the agreement, we will provide host sites with a raised bed, soil, gardening necessities, educational information, and support for the 2026 gardening season. In return, your organization will agree to care for the raised bed and distribute all produce at no cost to your local community. We ask that you track how much you distribute - see the survey for more information. You will also be agreeing to sustain this project financially (after the 1st year) through the 2029 growing season or further. Carlton County Public Health will offer technical assistance as needed/requested, but will not have funds to supply after the first year.
