Carlsbad Fire Department Foundation

Carlsbad Fire Department Foundation Raising funds needed to supplement and enhance basic fire and rescue services, and to support public outreach, safety education programs and scholarships.

Established by residents of Carlsbad, California, the Foundation’s goal is to raise and provide supplemental funding for items such as:

• Equipment and materials needed to enhance the capability of the Fire Department and the services it provides to the citizens of Carlsbad, the commercial sector and civic organizations.
• Equipment to enhance administrative, operational and/or emergency voice or

electronic communication. Information Technology to enhance services and response.
• Essential items of equipment needed to enhance the protection of the health and safety of firefighters and the public they serve.
• Medical equipment and materials essential to enhance the treatment and initial care of those needing medical aid or injured in fire or collision events.
• Firefighting, medical and emergency rescue training to enhance the professional training of firefighters and EMT personnel.
• Services and marketing materials needed to enhance firefighter and paramedic training, community relations, education and training programs.
• The services of individuals or entities having specialized skills that will be beneficial to the corporation or administration, operation and/or training of the Fire Department or any component thereof.
• The establishment and management of an educational scholarship fund for vocational and college level education for dependents of firefighters and paramedics.

We're excited to announce the donation of a rescue water craft and rescue-board to the city of Carlsbad. These vessels allow for rapid deployment and effective access to the ocean and inland waterways and increase the effectiveness and safety of our personnel in dangerous conditions.

There will be an unveiling the Rescue Craft On Tuesday October 4th at 9:00 am at Snug Harbor on Harrison Street with Representative of San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond and a Carlsbad Fire Department Lifeguard Service representative.
