Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotary welcomed new member Bill Bondshu at yesterday's meeting. Past DG Don Fipp described Freedom Park (near the USS Midway), its design and opportunity for Rotary insignia. CHNR WILL be a participant in that effort.

Our club's International Service team showcased the work it has done this year . . . including a generator for a hospital at the Poland/Ukraine border (think of electricity going down in middle of operations or the use of ventilators), sustainability projects in South Africa, mental health resources in Uganda, and rehabilitation projects in El Salvador and Kenya. WE'RE SO PROUD OF THE WORK YOU'VE DONE! Additionally, Nancy Starling was awarded the Rotarian of the Month by President Jim Brubaker . . . richly deserved!

Rotary District 5340 Governor Luis Carranza was the keynote speaker at today's Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotary meeting with an exemplary presentation about WHY we are Rotarians. Club President Jim Brubaker presented the Rotarian of the Month to Bob Stonebrook and RI Fdn rep Mimi Gaffey presented George Porter with his PHF+9 pin. DG Carranza assisted in the presentations.
