This week, our staff have been so blessed by our amazing volunteers, and we just have to brag on them.
Here are a couple things our volunteers have done this week to make our girls feel seen and special:

- Provided a ride to an appointment, and then assisted that resident with an extra errand that needed to be run. This volunteer also sent our resident home with some delicious goodies from !

- One volunteer has established a relationship with one of our residents and this resident felt the comfortability to ask her personally to take her to an interview - which she is able to do! The relationship is so important!

- In a group text about the need for some supplemental food, one volunteer quickly piped in with "She loves cookies and cream ice cream!" because everyone deserves the dignity of having things they enjoy!

- Another volunteer shared that her family is preparing to go on vacation, and that she would check her fridge for anything they can share before they leave.

- When informed of a young lady in need of extra connection time, a volunteer immediately texted her and reminded her that she is thought of and cared for.

- A new volunteer dropped off flowers to our office from her garden - this volunteer team is so kind they even care for our staff!

And the list goes on! Our volunteers are truly the best and we are deeply grateful for each one. Thank you, ladies, for your commitment to sharing of your gifts and time with our Bethany House family. You are amazing!

A Huge Thank You to Deloitte!

We are incredibly grateful to the amazing team from Deloitte who spent their Impact Day with us this past Friday!

In just a few short hours, their team accomplished so much:
🌿 Cleaned out and organized a storage area
🌿 Sealed our pergola
🌿 Weeded and mulched outdoor spaces
🌿 Painted porch posts and outdoor furniture
🌿 Painted a resident bedroom
🌿 Prepared a delicious meal for our residents

Their hard work, positive attitudes, and servant hearts made a tremendous impact on our campus and the young women we serve. Projects that might have taken us weeks to complete were finished in a single day thanks to their dedication and teamwork.

We are deeply thankful for Deloitte's investment in our mission and for choosing to spend their Impact Day serving alongside us. Your support helps us create a welcoming, safe, and beautiful environment for the young women who call Bethany House home.

Yesterday one of our residents had her first drivers training session and we loved seeing her big smile as she hopped in the driver’s seat!

We are so grateful for our friends at Drive Wright Training School for their ongoing partnership with Bethany House! Through their services, many of our girls have received hands on training and tested to get their license, which is a crucial step towards independence. Thank you for your committed care to train safe drivers, and for giving our girls the confidence that they can learn to drive and achieve their license!

We are so proud of our most recent graduate!

Celebrating graduations is one of our favorite parts of cheering on the young women we serve. Achieving a high school diploma is a challenge under uncomplicated circumstances, and even more so when barriers like housing instability are present. We cheer you on and congratulate you for taking this next step towards independence!

We are reaching out to our community on behalf of a single mother who is in need of reliable transportation. Having access to a vehicle would make a tremendous difference in her ability to get to work, attend appointments, care for her family, and continue moving toward stability and independence.

We are looking for either:
🚗 An affordable vehicle for purchase, or
❤️ A donated vehicle from someone who may have a car they are no longer using.

The vehicle does not need to be fancy—just safe, dependable, and able to get her where she needs to go.

If you have a vehicle available, know someone who does, or would like to help in another way, please send us a private message. We would be grateful for any leads or assistance.

Today we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

We want to give a huge shoutout to the Improv Troupe at Mechanicsburg Area High School for choosing Bethany House as the organization to support through their recent show!

It is always so encouraging to see young people using their creativity and talents to make a difference in the lives of the women we serve at Bethany House. Thank you for your generosity, compassion, and community spirit!

Today, Amy, our Executive Director, and Lexxi, our Housing Stability Coach, attended the Roots & Resources event hosted by the Cumberland County Housing Authority.

It was a great day filled with networking, collaboration, and learning alongside community partners who are all working toward stronger housing support and resources for families in our region.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to connect, grow, and continue strengthening the work we do every day at Bethany House. 💙

What a delicious surprise! 🥪✨

Today our day got an unexpected boost thanks to the incredible generosity of a special couple who donated subs from the Carlisle Little League fundraiser for our Bethany House family.

There’s something so uplifting about an unexpected act of kindness — and surprise meals are always a welcome blessing around here! Your thoughtfulness not only fills hungry bellies but also reminds our residents and clients that they are seen, loved, and supported by this amazing community.

Thank you for brightening our day in such a meaningful (and delicious!) way. What a gift your generosity has been! 💙

It is so exciting to see our youth taking a step into more professional roles! Thank you to the Knovva program that is making this internship possible for our Bethany House graduate to gain this wonderful experience!

We are so proud of you, Destiny!

Welcome our new intern Destiny! Destiny is the first intern through the Knovva program that helps young adults pursue career paths through paid work experiences . She will be answering phones, managing social media posts, and bringing in random farm animals!
