Grahams Bridge is reopened to traffic!

Grahams Bridge is open to traffic! 🚧

The bridge carries Bridge Road over the Conodoguinet Creek in Upper Frankford and West Pennsboro Townships and was closed on March 2, 2026, for rehabilitation work.

Upgrades included a new bridge deck, waterproofing membranes, expansion joints, and maintenance to the abutments, beams, and piers.

TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM

2027-2030 TIP Includes All Federally Funded Transportation Projects in Region

The Harrisburg Area Transportation Study (HATS), the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry counties, announced today that the public review and comment period for the draft 2027-2030 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) will run from Fri., May 1 through Mon., June 1.

The TIP is a comprehensive listing of all federally funded highway, bridge, transit and other transportation projects planned for the next four years in the HATS area.
The associated Air Quality Conformity Determination will also be available for public review and comment.

Both documents can be reviewed at:
* the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission (TCRPC)
* the TCRPC office, 320 Market St., Suite 301E, Harrisburg;
* the Cumberland County Planning Commission office @
310 Allen Road, Carlisle;
* the Perry County Planning Commission office @
Veteran's Memorial Building, 25 W. Main St., New Bloomfield.

Virtual public information sessions via Zoom have been scheduled for 2-3 PM and 6-7 PM on Tue., May 5.

HATS will also have a display table in the Strawberry Square Atrium, 320 Market St., Harrisburg on Wed., May 13 from 11:30 AM to 1 PM.

TCPRC Transportation Planner Brian Snyder said, “The TIP affects virtually everyone in the region, so we encourage folks to review the projects we’re looking at for the next several years and share their thoughts.”

All comments should be emailed to Brian Snyder at [email protected] or mailed to the TCRPC office by 4 PM on Mon., June 1.

HATS will consider the TIP’s approval at its Coordinating Committee meeting on Fri., June 26. Visit the TCRPC Calendar to register.

The HATS FFY 2027-2030 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and associated Air Quality Conformity Determination will be available for public comment from Friday, May 1, 2026, to Monday, June 1, 2026.
