Lions at Ford Nationals.
On Saturday Carlisle Lions staffed the gates collecting donations at the 2026 Ford Nationals in Carlisle. Carlisle Events supports the local community by allowing local Lions clubs to talk to show goers at the entrance gates. This years Ford Nationals show goers donated over $1,350.00. Every penny donated will go to support vision, disaster relief, environmental, youth, humanitarian, and other programs supporting the needs of the community and those affected around the world. Thanks to those attending for a great weekend.

IT IS OUR BIRTHDAY
Started by a businessman that saw people needed more than just coffee and ci**rs.

The Founder: A Chicago businessman named Melvin Jones started the group.
The Location: The very first organizational meeting took place in Chicago, Illinois.
Going International: The group became international in 1920 when a club was formed in Windsor, Canada.
The Challenge: Becoming "Knights of the Blind" when Helen Keller addresses Lions at their International Convention.

On Friday evening the Carlisle Lions Club was at the Carlisle Family YMCA childcare fun day for those in daycare at the Carlisle Family YMCA. Lions provided free popcorn and did free vision screening. Thanks to the Lions and Carlisle LEOs that helped make this a succesful day.

Carlisle Lions have Lions roaring to get to the PA State Lions Convention being hosted by District 14-M Lions and held in PA Lions District 14-J.

Do you hear the thunder of the paws as Lions are on the move across the state to PA Lions District 14-J for the Lions State Convention. May 14-17 Lions will gather from all 17 districts in Pennsylvania. District 14-C is on the move and will be roaring at the Lions State Convention.

Carlisle Area LEOs participated in the Lions District 14-C sponsored LEO Leadership Roadshow on Saturday, facilitated by Past Council Chair and Multi-District LEO Chairperson Linda Zaneski. LEOs stands for Leadership, Experience, and Opportunity and they learned about working in a team, public speaking, time management, member motivation, Lions global causes, LEO to Lion program, and Mental health and well-being. LEOs participated in conversation and hands on projects. Carlisle Area LEOs and Carlisle Lions Club thanks PCC Linda and Lions District 14-C for the great program that engaged and educated the LEOs from 12-18-years-of-age.
