CARLISLE FIRE DEPARTMENT HOLDS SUCCESSFUL BREAKFAST

The Carlisle Firemen's Enterprise would like to thank all those who supported us in our 2020 Pancake Breakfast. The turnout and generosity were amazing! Much appreciated was the orderly flow of traffic during the drive-thru. The "boot" was filled with free-will donations. A change in an annual event always brings a little uncertainty as to the ability to successfully adapt, but this community and many from outside the Carlisle area made it abundantly clear that the change was fully supported. Thank you to each who attended and to our generous donors who provided most of the food and supplies.

We can’t thank our community enough for the amazing turn out we had this morning! It was probably one of our biggest years yet!

The planning for next year has begun....we want to know...How many people enjoyed the drive thru version? What were some pros? Cons?

Happy Thursday everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather we are having this week. We are excited that THIS SATURDAY is our annual PANCAKE BREAKFAST! Things look a little different this year, thanks to COVID, however we are safely prepared to serve a great breakfast via DRIVE THRU! Please follow the directions below in our initial post. We hope to see each and everyone come through as we usually do, things will just be a little different this year!

Thank you for your continued support and we are excited for a little normalcy this time of year!

Q: Is the Carlisle Fire Department going to have their annual pancake breakfast?

A: Yes! 2020's Pancake Breakfast is still being held, but with changes. Instead of being a sit-down meal in the station, it will be a drive-thru event. From 6:00 - 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 7th, the Carlisle Firefighters/EMS will be on hand to take your orders and bring them out to you in your vehicle. Please be sure to follow this route to avoid traffic congestion and safety issues:

***Take 5th Street to Main, east down Main Street to 2nd, pull in front of the station to place your order, then leave on 2nd south to School Street.***

They will be serving pancakes, sausage, eggs, and biscuits & gravy along with individual cartons of milk, chocolate milk, and orange juice. This breakfast has been made possible by generous donations from several local businesses in Carlisle & Des Moines. As in years past, this is a free-will donation fundraiser. You can donate by dropping off cash or a check at the Carlisle Fire Station, in the "boot" on Saturday, or online through Venmo at this link: www.venmo.com/cfde-ia. Your support is greatly appreciated!
