The Safety Committee needs your input. Following Article 20 at Town Meeting, we’re studying traffic data in areas where speed limits may affect the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers. We’ve focused on the town center, where signs recently changed, but we also want to know where you think speeding is a problem.

COAHS Transportation and Services Coordinator

The Town of Carlisle is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time, benefited position of Transportation and Services Coordinator with the Council on Aging and Human Services.

This position is scheduled for 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The non-union salary range begins at Grade 6, Step 1 ($32.74 per hour), with placement up to Grade 6, Step 3 ($33.40 per hour), depending on qualifications. The full Grade 6 salary range is $32.74 to $37.63 per hour.

The Town offers an excellent benefits package, including health insurance, participation in the Town’s retirement plan, and paid time off. A complete job description is available through the BambooHR portal, accessible via the link on the Town’s website.

Interested in learning more about the creatures with which we share our yards? The Environmental Sustainability Committee is launching “Mammal of the Month”! Each month, a mammal commonly found in Carlisle will be featured. Stop by Town Hall to check out the ESC board in the Clark Room or visit the ESC website (https://www.carlislema.gov/1237/ Environmental-Sustainability-Committee) to find out which mammal is highlighted and to learn interesting facts about the species.
