On September 11, 2001 the United States of America, was shaken by a devastating event that took place, causing the lives of the American people to be changed as the deadliest attack on American soil transpired as a result of terrorism.
Since that day, 25 years has passed, but the day to remember remains.
But what else?
American resilience remains.
American strength remains.
The American Flag remains.
The Carlinville Police Department remembers the devastation of a single act, remembers the ones who lost their lives and remembers the brave who made the choice to run into the smoke. We stand proud and remember the fallen first responders, civilians, our military service men and women and all families affected by this cowardly attack.
God Bless those no longer with us.
