Thank you for your service!

On the evening of 4/22/26 a male passenger of a traffic stop began to choke and could not breathe. MCSO Deputy Sgt Holliday and MCSO Deputy Murzynski quickly recognized the situation and performed a life saving technique. Due to the Deputies attention to detail and quick decision making they successfully dislodged the object obstructing the males airway and requested further medical assistance. Sheriff Holshouser and MCSO presented certificates of appreciation to the Deputies for their life saving actions.

The Macoupin/Montgomery Counties Crime Stoppers and the Carlinville Police Department are asking for information to help nab the GRINCH(S) who stole almost $3,000 worth of tools and materials from a Non-profit group in Carlinville.

Sometime on Christmas Eve someone broke into the building where THE SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE (Carlinville) build and store their beds that they deliver to those in need, ensuring that NO kid sleeps on the floor.
