🚨 SNAP Alert: Work Rules Have Changed 🚨

As of May 1, 2026, new SNAP work requirements are now in effect and may impact eligibility for some adults.

If these requirements are not met, food benefits could be reduced or stopped.

🔄 What This Means
If you are required to participate, you now may need to:
Work
Participate in job training
Meet a set number of work hours each month

🟢 You May Qualify for an Exemption If You Are:
Unable to work due to a medical condition
Caring for a child or dependent
Pregnant
Meeting other approved exemption criteria

⚠️ Everyone’s situation is different—don’t assume these rules don’t apply to you.

✅ Take Action to Protect Your Benefits
If you haven’t checked recently, now is the time. Use the SNAP Work Requirements Screener to find out:
If the rules apply to you
Whether you’re meeting the requirements
If you qualify for an exemption
