A Tornado Watch has been issued for portions of southeast Kansas and western Missouri through 11 PM tonight in association with the first of several rounds of severe weather expected today into tonight.

Additional watch issuance and expansion is likely through tonight, so remain weather aware and do not let extended periods of severe potential allow you to lower your guard!

Just wanted to give context to the Tornado Watch that'll be going out, this is a low-end Tornado Watch. That means the primary threats are wind and hail but there's enough of a chance to put out a Tornado Watch.
