Maine GOP Chairman Jim Deyermond responds to today's attack on Bobby Charles and his response:
“I want to thank Bobby Charles for the compassion he showed in response to his sister’s criticism. She has clearly experienced some pain in her life and has now told her story,” said Chairman Deyermond.
“Bobby’s response, compassionate and transparent, is not only the right way to address this situation, but it is what Maine needs in a Governor,” Deyermond continued.
“In fact, a Governor who would come out and show compassion while transparently discussing problems that have been kept hidden would be a dramatic improvement from the reign of Hannah Pingree and Janet Mills.”
“I hope there are no left-wing operatives behind today’s attack, because it appears to have backfired and it would be a shame if this lady was subjected to even more distress from being forced into the public eye,” said Deyermond.
