Good Sunday Morning,

One more day of showers and cool temperatures before summer returns for next week! Expect an additional 0.25 to 0.50 inches of rain across the north today, with less over the south. A cold front moves through the region this morning into this afternoon with temperatures remaining in the 60s.

High pressure returns to the area tonight, leading to warming temperatures. Monday will see temperatures well into the 70s, while 80s return Tuesday and remain through the end of the week.

Good Afternoon!

Rain is spreading into the area today, and will continue into Sunday. 0.5-1 inch of rain expected for northern areas, with about 0.25 inches expected in southern areas.

After this system moves out by Monday, temperatures will start to climb through next week. An extended period of upper 80s and some 90s will last from mid week into the weekend. This period will feature drier weather as well.

Good Saturday Morning,

Rain showers will move in from the west this morning with a slight chance for storms over the area late this afternoon and evening. Highs will be near to above normal over the north and below normal for southern areas today. Showers continue tomorrow, with a smaller chance for storms, as a cold front moves through the area.

After a brief cooldown behind the front on Sunday temperatures will begin to moderate early next week. A return to 80, and possibly 90-degree weather, will move in by the middle of next week. At this time it appears that the muggy weather will stay to our south and west.

Ahead of a cold front this weekend, there will be rain showers in the north on Saturday, before more widespread rain on Sunday. Total rainfall will range from 0.10-0.25 inches in southern areas, to just over 0.5 inch in northern areas. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon.

Next week will feature an extended period of hot temperatures in the upper 80s and even low 90s, which will be 10-15 degrees above average, and it will remain dry.

Temperatures will continue well above normal today with highs in the mid 70s over the north and low-mid 80s across the south. Showers are possible over northern and central areas this afternoon, along with a slight chance for thunderstorms.

Rain showers are expected through the weekend with thunderstorms possible Saturday evening. Rainfall amounts will range from less than one quarter of an inch Downeast to as much as three quarters to one inch over the far north by the end of the day Sunday.

Temps today are climbing into the upper 80s to near 90! Friday will be warm, but not as hot as today as we will have increasing clouds and potential for some showers in north and central areas. This is just ahead of a cold front that will bring more widespread showers, and possibly a thunderstorm, to the area Saturday into Sunday. Temps will cool with the frontal passage, but rebound into next week with temps in the 80s again.

Temperatures today will be very warm, with widespread temperatures in the upper 80s and up to 90 in some spots. Temperatures will be cooler along the immediate coast as a sea breeze develops.

Practice heat safety today: stay hydrated, take breaks, and NEVER leave people or pets in cars. Temperatures can quickly become deadly in a car in the sun!

Good Thursday Morning,

Today will feature temperatures about 5 to 10 degrees warmer than yesterday with highs in the middle to upper 80s over inland locations. The immediate shoreline will see temperatures in the 70s as a sea breeze develops in the afternoon.

The next chance for rain moves in Friday afternoon with isolated thunderstorms possible, mainly in the Central Highlands. Rain continues through the weekend with another chance for thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon. After a brief cooldown Sunday temperatures will begin to rebound on Monday with 80s returning by the middle of next week.

Good afternoon!

-High pressure settles over the region, resulting in clear skies and hot temperatures today and Thursday. Daytime highs in the 70s and 80s, and overnight lows in the 50s.

-Cold front approaches by Friday, bringing rain showers to the north. As the front passes Friday evening through Sunday, showers gradually expand, becoming areawide by Saturday.

-Slight chance for some thunderstorms Saturday. Lack of strong instability could hinder any storm development, however, Storms would be to the north during the afternoon, and late afternoon into evening for coastal areas.
