Please join us in congratulating Cadet McFarland and Cadet Kinsey on their graduation from high school!

Over the past several years, both cadets have demonstrated dedication, hard work, and a commitment to serving the Cardington community through our Cadet Program. We are proud of all they have accomplished and excited to welcome them into the next chapter of their fire service careers.

With their graduation, Cadet McFarland and Cadet Kinsey have officially become Probationary Firefighters with the Cardington Fire Department. Both members will begin Firefighter I & II training this August as they continue developing the skills and knowledge necessary to serve our community.

We would also like to recognize Probationary Firefighter McFarland for obtaining his Ohio Volunteer Firefighter certification while still in high school—an impressive accomplishment that reflects his dedication to the fire service and his desire to help others.

Congratulations to both of these young men on this milestone achievement. We look forward to seeing all they accomplish and are proud to have them as part of the Cardington Fire Department.

Deputy Sherrer’s service, sacrifice, and dedication to the citizens of Morrow County will never be forgotten. His impact continues to be felt by those who knew him, worked alongside him, and the community he faithfully served.

The members of Cardington Fire Department stand with the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Sherrer’s family, friends, and all of our brothers and sisters in law enforcement as they remember and honor his legacy today.

Gone, but never forgotten.

Today we remember the life and service of Deputy Daniel Weston Sherrer, one year after his End of Watch.
His dedication to Morrow County and the impact he made on those around him will never be forgotten. We stand with his family, his friends, and everyone who continues to carry his memory forward.

A great day honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We were proud to have our apparatus cleaned up and out in the parade representing Cardington Fire Department and our community.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend—it’s a time to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation, and to honor the families who carry that sacrifice every day.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the parade and spend the day remembering with us. We hope everyone has had a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.
