A failed fire levy in Hampshire County would put fire departments in a critical situation for funding. Don't let that happen here in Hampshire County! Early voting is going on this week, please get out and vote "For The Levy" to keep our doors open.

A 40 hour Driver-Pump Operator Class was held the over the last two weekends at CBVFD. This class involved classroom time as well as hands on skill training. Several fire departments from Hampshire County along with others from surrounding counties participated in the training. Three members of our department attended the training and successfully passed. Pictured is class participants learning hands on skills about rural water supply.

At 2:30pm CBVFD was called for a car fire on cooper mnt. Crews arrived on the scene to have fire located in the engine compartment of the vehicle. Crews quickly extinguish the fire. Route 50 was shut down for approximately half hour. Also assisting with the fire was Hampshire County emergency services .
