💜 September is Su***de Prevention & Awareness Month 💜

The Town of Capitol Heights joins communities across the nation in raising awareness about su***de prevention, encouraging open conversations about mental health, and reminding everyone that hope and help are available.

You never truly know what someone may be carrying. A phone call, a kind word, a listening ear, or simply asking, “Are you okay?” can make a meaningful difference.

If you or someone you know is struggling or experiencing a mental health crisis, call or text 988 to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

This month—and every month—let’s work together to:
💜 Check in on our family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers
💜 Listen without judgment
💜 Encourage those who are struggling to seek support
💜 Remind one another that asking for help is a sign of strength

You matter. Your life matters. You are not alone.
