We succeeded in finishing the furnishing of the house for the reception prior to the Ulysses S Grant Symposium.  it was a grand night with old friends and new friends. The house performs beautifully with a large crowd. That feature has always been one of the strengths of the home. We are now making plans to have a Christmas open house to re-introduce the home to the surrounding region. Stay tuned for details. 1882 to 2025…..a long history.

Isn’t it lovely?? We introduced it at a huge reception last Thursday night.

We are getting closer to having the Clark Kellerman house set up again after our Rhinehart Art was moved to Kellerman Lorimier Hall.  It has been a huge job. Our furniture had all been moved out in order for it to be more of a Museum setting. It’s wonderful to have seating again in our living room. It’s one of our favorite spots. We still  need to get the painting back to go over the fireplace. We have an event in the home in conjunction with our Ulysses S Grant symposium on November 7. People who register for the symposium will be welcomed at a cocktail reception on the evening of November 6. We need to keep scrambling. Love that house.❤️❤️

We are putting the Clark Kellerman house back together after all the Rhinehart Art was moved out or to the museum. It’s going to take some time, but we are thrilled to be able to make it ours again. We intend to make a plan to offer it for events in collaboration with Kellerman-Lorimier Hall. Personal photo shoots are starting to happen on the front veranda, as well as some interior shots. It’s a new experience for us because we have only opened this house to the general Public three times in 54 years. It seems right to do it now. I feel more like it belongs to the public than to us. It has not yet been given to the Foundation because there is work to be done to get it into shape to donate it. It will be given to the foundation maybe within the next year. The timing will depend on our progress on the house And the vote of the board to accept it. This has been my dream house for 54 years. We’ve lived here almost all of our married life. Visiting it is like stepping back 150 years when you top the hill and enter the world of the house. We will share our plans when they are fully established. You will love this place like we do. It is a special part of the world.

New Rhinehart painting we purchased recently. We didn’t have much of his Eagle art. It will go in the Fountain House for now and will transition to the Rhinehart Gallery at Kellerman Lorimier Hall when we have the building ready.
It’s a favorite of ours. ❤️
