It has been an emotional week for us all.

For the 3rd time in Rockin’ 4 Relief’s 16 year history, we have to donate money to a family we know personally.

Officer Henry Franklin with Sikeston Department of Public Safety was shot and killed earlier this week while responding to a homicide investigation that also claimed the life of a beloved local farmer.

He leaves behind his wife and four children.

Franklin was a phenomenal human being who was the life of the party, cared deeply about his job, and adored his family.

His loss is felt deeply by his community and we are thankful that the The BackStoppers Inc. will be stepping in to assist his family.

Rest in peace, hero.

What started as a 12-year-old’s dream has grown into a powerful force for good. Jennifer Rubin Evans founded Rockin’ 4 Relief in 2009 to support families of fallen and injured first responders, and today, she serves as a first responder herself!

Originally, volunteers “rocked” for up to 10 hours straight in rocking chairs outside local businesses, raising awareness and funds for police, firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics in crisis. 🚓🚒🚑

Over the years, the mission has grown, including live music events that bring communities together for a cause that hits close to home.

Rockin’ 4 Relief has raised over $287,000, including an unforgettable $13,000 donation from Oprah Winfrey herself!
