📢 Labor Day Holiday Schedule

We will be closed Monday, September 7, in honor of Labor Day.
Please note the following changes to trash and recycling routes during the holiday week:

Monday routes run Tuesday
Tuesday routes run Wednesday
All other days are on their normal schedule

A huge THANK YOU to everyone working hard out in this heat! ☀️

We truly appreciate the patience and understanding you’ve shown while our crews work to clean up from the recent storm in these hot-weather conditions. And an extra special thank you to the kind people and local businesses who have helped keep our workers going by providing cold water, treats, and even discounts. The Insomnia Cookies and Rally's food is very appreciated.💙

We are unexpectedly short staffed tomorrow so the trash and recycling routes will start at 6:30 AM in an effort to get everything collected. The crew will probably be working late so if your cart is not emptied at its normal time please leave it at the curb. North Sprigg Street between Normal Ave and North St will be closed today (8/13/26) while Alliance Water Resources crews repair a water main break. At this time there is no need for a boil water order. If one is issued we will update this post. 🚛♻️ Our recycling truck is feeling a little under the weather and as a result some recycling routes are running behind. If your recycling isn't picked up today, don't worry just leave your cart at the curb and we'll be back to collect the remaining stops tomorrow.

The traffic signal at Broadway and Perry will be flashing red beginning Monday, July 6th while upgrades are made. This turns the intersection into a three way stop and traffic may be delayed. We expect the work to be complete Wednesday the 8th and the signal should be back to its red/yellow/green cycle. Please be extra careful in the area or use an alternate route.

In observance of Independence Day, we will be closed on Friday, July 3

🗑️ Trash Collection Schedule Changes:
✔️ Thursday routes will be collected on Wednesday
✔️ Friday routes will be collected on Thursday
✔️Other routes will be on their normal days

• Friday routes run Thursday
