Eclipse 2024 Media Release
Cape Girardeau County Parks will be limited to only those having a shelter reservation for Monday, April 8, 2024. All park shelters in Cape Girardeau County Parks (North, South, and Klaus) have been reserved for that date.
Citizens with shelter reservations will be issued a pass to gain access on Monday, April 8th. The passes will be provided to the person that made the reservation and they will be responsible for coordinating passes with their guests. Park personnel will be stationed at park entrances to limit access.
Cape Girardeau County Parks understands this may be an inconvenience for some but is necessary to provide for a quality and safe experience for the citizens that have reserved shelters for the eclipse event.
