This week in the library, our 1st- and 2nd-grade students read The Yellow Bus by Loren Long!

The Yellow Bus is the first Show Me Readers Award nominee we are introducing to students this year. Throughout the school year, students will have the opportunity to read all 10 Show Me Readers nominees and, in the spring, they will vote for their favorite book!

After reading The Yellow Bus, students got creative and designed their own yellow buses. 🚌✨ They also shared something that brings them joy by writing it on their buses. 💛

Nell Holcomb is now offering a school spirit store along with girls volleyball support clothing options. Use the attached link to view the many different options. The school store will open on Tuesday September 1st and will remain open until Friday, September 11th. Orders will NOT be accepted after September 11th. All orders including payment will be done directly on the link. Items can be shipped to your home with an additional shipping fee OR items will be delivered to school for pickup at No additional cost. These incoming 3rd graders and 4th graders completed their Summer Review Packet that Mrs. Hahs and Mrs. Moore sent home at the end of last school year! We appreciate all of their hard work over the summer!😎🍎⭐️

🚌 BACK TO SCHOOL BUS SAFETY NOTICE 🚌

School is officially back in session! Starting August 24th—the first day of school—our school buses will back out on Nell Holcomb community roads.

As traffic picks up during morning drop-offs and afternoon pick-ups, please stay extra alert and keep an eye out for students loading and unloading at stops.

Back to school night is TONIGHT!
5:30-7:00

We are so excited to see you! Stop by to have some ice cream and meet your teachers for the school year.
