I had the privilege of fishing with Rhett and his family yesterday. Rhett is a firefighter and fellow amputee from California. Sharing stories, discussing challenges, and talking about life as an amputee in the fire service was truly amazing. It was great to connect with someone who genuinely understands the experience. We landed a few smaller fish and lost some big ones that broke us off, but it made for a memorable day on the water.

Chantal hooked up on a big saw fish yesterday. This thing made some monster runs and finally decided to stay put on the bottom… that’s what they do! 😂

Peter and his family out here tugging on some sharks. One nice lemon shark, couple hammerheads, and a few small Atlantic sharpnoses. Not complaining 😉

Mark and Mike did sharks of Friday and wanted back bay fish on Saturday. Wasn’t a stellar day but we picked at about a dozen snook, few small red fish, trout, and grouper. Not complaining for not targeting these fish in a year a half cause of my leg injury. 🤷‍♂️ throwing a cast net on a prosthetic leg was interesting 😂🫣. Got it done though!

Sight fishing big hammers is one of my favorite things to do. This fish was well over ten foot long and videos do no justice on the size of this fish. Such an amazing creature!

I could not be happier for the leg to be feeling good! It’s my favorite time of the year…. 🔨 time! I absolutely love these fish. Crushed em today! 13 sharks landed. And broke off on some big ones!

Fishing yesterday was non stop action. Think I spent more time rigging rods than relaxing 😂. Bull sharks and saw fish were plentiful! Glad to be back on the water as this leg gets stronger and recovering from my injury. Who wants to go fishing!?
