📚🍎 School Is Out… But Hunger Doesn’t Take a Summer Break. 🍎📚

Our Healthy Not Hungry Kids Program is officially underway, and the bags are flying off the shelves! As school cafeterias close for the summer, many local children lose access to regular meals. Together, we can help ensure no child goes hungry.

Every donation—whether it’s food or a monetary gift—helps provide nutritious meals and snacks to children right here in our community.

🌪️ Hurricane Season is Approaching — Are You Ready? 🌧️

Now is the time to prepare and protect your family. Don’t wait until it’s too late!

✔️ Gather and update your emergency supplies

✔️ Make your home as strong and secure as possible

✔️ Create an evacuation plan — and make sure your family knows it

✔️ Take photos and videos of your home for documentation

✔️ Safeguard important documents

✔️ Set aside emergency funds if possible

If a disaster does occur, the Cape Coral Caring Center is here for you. Once it is safe, our doors will be open from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM to provide:

This FREE event features expert guidance from City staff, local emergency responders, and key community partners. Learn life-saving hurricane preparedness tips, connect with organizations like LCEC, U.S. Coast Guard, and Lee Health, and enter giveaways to help build your hurricane kit.

Our children's nutrition program is scheduled for June 1st and runs until August. Each child will be provided with a food package containing breakfast, lunch, and select snack items, designed to sustain them for approximately one week. Consider helping us this summer by donating or hosting a food drive. You can also go to our website to make a donation.

🇺🇸 The Cape Coral Caring Center will be closed on Memorial Day as we take time to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, as well as all of our veterans. ❤️🤍💙

We will reopen Tuesday, May 26 at 9:00 AM.

📍 We will also be at Guiding Grace tomorrow afternoon for scheduled food assistance appointments. Please don’t forget to call and make your appointment.
