The very first Dune & Dusk piece to be shipped made its way all the way down to South Carolina, and its new home feels extra special.
This piece helped welcome a beautiful couple into their new home, and they were kind enough to share where they chose to hang it. The second I saw its placement, my heart completely filled with gratitude and joy and, yes, my eyes definitely teared up.
Hanging right alongside it is the work of another incredible artist: Tish Murphy, the late mother of my husband Gerrit and my sister-in-law Lizzie. If you were lucky enough to know Tish in any capacity, I’m genuinely jealous. She was an extraordinary artist with an incredible talent all her own. Gerrit and I are lucky enough to have several of her original paintings proudly hanging in our home as well.
Tish was also a quiet but meaningful part of the Dennis community, and I’m sure many local families have fond memories of seeing her there.
To see something I created hanging alongside something she created is an honor that is hard to put into words.
Thank you, Lizzie and Michael, for giving this piece such a meaningful place in your home. I wish you both nothing but love, happiness, and so many beautiful memories there ❤️❤️
