🎥 Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines together with the Town of Cape Carteret will be hosting a FREE Movie Night in the Park. The event will take place on Saturday, September 26, starting at 7:15pm. Please bring your own chair and any snacks that you may want to enjoy during the movie. We hope to see you there! 🍿🥤

WHITE GOODS PICKUP UPDATE

GFL is making a second pass through Town today (9.8.2026) to pick up any white goods that were placed out for collection on Saturday, September 5.

The Town of Cape Carteret is working on its Comprehensive Plan, and your voice is an important part of shaping the future of our community.

We invite community members to attend an upcoming Public Input Session and share your thoughts, ideas, and vision for Cape Carteret.

The meetings will be held on Thursday, September 10th. One morning session from 9:00–11:00 AM, and one evening session from 5:00–7:00 PM.

Two sessions are being offered to make it easier for residents to participate. Stop by during whichever time works best for you!

Whether you have ideas about growth, parks and recreation, connectivity, community events, Future Land Use, or what you love most about Cape Carteret, we want to hear from you.

Your input today helps shape the Cape Carteret of tomorrow.

There are 2 areas of thunderstorms we are monitoring right now. The first is in central NC. Those are moving SE towards ENC. The 2nd area is along the Crystal Coast. Those thunderstorms aren't moving as much. The environment is favorable for severe weather in both areas.
