Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fulton County

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fulton County •Community-Based Mentoring – traditional Big Brothers Big Sisters one-to-one mentoring, a few hours a couple of times a month.

The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring professionally supported 1 to 1 relationships that change lives for the better, forever. This may consist of going fishing, attending a sporting event, etc.

•School-Based Mentoring – one-to-one mentoring that takes place at school. The Big and Little can work on homework or eat lunch at talk with one another.

Match Monday ✨ Today we're featuring one of our matches from over in Fulton County!

Big Sister Kennedy and Little Sister Brooklynn have been matched for nearly three years. Kennedy joined the program because she wanted to be a positive role model for a child in need, while Brooklynn’s mom hoped the program would give her the opportunity to experience more of the community after recently moving to the area.

Over the years, these two have built a meaningful bond while making memories together. From browsing books at the library, to chatting over Starbucks, to showing up and enjoying local community events, their time together has been filled with moments that continue to strengthen their relationship.

Thank you, Kennedy, for showing up, staying consistent, and making a lasting difference. And Brooklynn, thank you for bringing so much joy to this match with your spunky personality! 💚

Match Spotlight of the Week! 💚

Malaysia and Heidi have been matched in our Community-Based Program for almost three years! Malaysia joined BBBS because her mom hoped she’d benefit from a positive role model who could help get her out and about. Heidi was already volunteering with our Fulton County Satellite Resource Group and helping plan events, and decided to take that next step by becoming a Big so she could be there for a child who needed someone in her corner.

Since being matched, these two have made so many memories, from BBBS Holiday Parties and Bowl for Kids’ Sake to swimming, skating, grabbing food, and even visiting Giant Goose Ranch. Heidi loves Malaysia’s spunky personality, and Malaysia says Heidi is nice and a lot of fun!

We love watching this friendship grow 💫

Weekly Match Spotlight! 💚✨

Erin and Lillie have been matched for two and a half years in our Community-Based Program, and their bond continues to grow stronger. Lillie was enrolled in the program because her parents felt she could benefit from having an additional positive, active role model in her life. Erin chose to become a Big Sister because she enjoys helping kids and wanted to support a Little Sister in reaching her full potential.

From the very beginning, these two hit it off. They enjoy doing just about everything together, from baking and movie nights to roller skating and attending many Big Brothers Big Sisters events. Erin loves Lillie’s energy and excitement, sharing that they never struggle to find things to talk about. Lillie and her parents are grateful for Erin’s friendship and for the guidance, encouragement, and support she provides without judgment.

Check out our first match of 2026! We are so excited to welcome Bobbie and Azriella to our program! 💚

New year. New impact. ✨

January is National Mentoring Month! What better way to start 2026 than by making a real difference right here in your own community? Becoming a mentor isn’t about having all the answers, it’s about showing up, sharing your time, and changing a life (including your own). Consider committing your time this year and helping shape a brighter future.
