I have really missed all you guys & my LuLaRoe 👕 sales and videos. I used to really enjoy catching up with everybody.

Technically, I have not pulled the trigger yet on deciding whether or not to leave as a retailer because I had such a wonderful six years with the company it’s very hard for me to say goodbye .

However, I have been going gangbusters at the Counseling practice and that’s definitely been more of my passion lately.

This was the year I promised myself I would hit a six figure salary at my current job. Since this is within my control, I have been increasing the time spent at my office to 6 days a week, sometimes 7. But I also vowed to not let my fitness goals suffer.

So here I am….sandwiching my workout in between other appointments on a hectic Monday.

And by the way, the previous class’ Pilates instructor just said, “Monday is not the problem, it’s your bad attitude that’s the problem.”

So I’ll leave you all to ponder on that one! 🤣

Happy New Year 🎊 from my elainefederico.com page and I wanted to let you guys know I’m gonna have some surprises in store for you this year as I reinvigorate this page with my new direction.

Last year I made the decision to discontinue about 90% of my clothing business and switch gears to invest more in my counseling practice, and in my intentional living blog and craft cocktail IG page.

I haven’t had the time to devote to writing as much as I would like to, but I have some new goals for 2023, and I wanted to bring you along with me for the ride!

I decided to keep the leggings portion of my LuLaRoe 👕 business, because these leggings are the “crack” of the clothing world and no one does them better than LuLaRoe 👕 !!!!

Accordingly, we will have leggings sales, probably monthly!

If I do see a launch of some other style of clothing that I’m interested in I will also bring you that, but I have refinished my basement and discarded the majority of the equipment I used in the boutique so it won’t be like the days of old when I had over 2000 pieces. 😬

When I turned 50 last year, I decided to hold a year-long celebration, and I worked very hard to get back into shape after my bilateral hip replacements!

Along the way I lost 32 pounds and I feel better now than I did in my 30s. I accomplished most of this through Pilates, Peloton riding, and Choi Kwang Do Martial Arts. I have become very passionate about fitness, as I believe that staying in shape is extremely important as we age.

For 2023 I have decided to focus on improving healthcare, including getting the regular check ups that every person needs to get in order to maintain good health, especially as we get older! Hello, mammogram! Hello, colonoscopy!

I’ll be taking you guys along on my healthcare journey and encouraging you to do the same!

Twice now, I’ve been a guest on my friend Minessa Konecky’s fantastic podcast, called Stop Shoulding all over yourself! We mostly discuss various topics as they relate to the Star Trek universe. I’m really excited about 2023 because I have finally decided to fulfill my professional goals and get my financial house more in order, and I’m feeling really positive about the way my kids are handling the teenage years.

Many of you know that 2022 was difficult for me because of my son’s OCD diagnosis and his hospitalization for two months in Milwaukee, Wisconsin I would love to talk with all of you more about his OCD and maybe our discussions can be helpful for you and your families!

Now that my son is back home, he has returned to his martial arts involvement, as well as his high school program which he takes at night, but the reality is that his diagnosis is lifelong, and it will always be a challenge for him to work through.

I now have a 15 year old daughter who is learning to drive so this should be an “exciting” (and mildly stressful) time for everyone and I will definitely keep you posted on her experience with that!

I really have missed catching up with all of you guys and I hope to see you more often this year! 💜💜💜

Ok. WHO CUTS COFFEE CAKE INTO 14ths????

I can understand if it was 1/12th of a cake because if you cut a pan into four sections by three sections you’re gonna get roughly 12 pieces. You might also cut it into 4 x 4 evenly and then you would have 16 pieces.

So I could understand 1/12 or 1/16.

 but 1/14?

Who would even cut something up that way????

I think they’re just trying to make it look like it has fewer calories than it really does because if you multiplied their serving size by 14 and divided by 12 you come up with approximately 210 cal per serving. Maybe they think that looks like too much for coffee cake. Idk. That’s really not a tragic amount of calories for an occasional breakfast splurge. And I say splurge because there’s very little nutritive content. 

However, the mathematics just made me laugh.

Such a cute little outfit I picked up at Aéropostale yesterday! I did a little bit of shopping with Marina to get her some summer shorts and PE clothes.  today is cloudy and even a little chilly so it feels nice to have a hoodie on.

We had a great breakfast at Atomic Biscuit today and Marina was hired on the spot for hostess duties. She will be excellent!

Meanwhile, I’ve got piles of laundry to do, and I’m going to save our live show for tomorrow. I will see you then, a little after 3 pm EST.

I got the new Resort cover up today! The Breezy! It’s so fun and light! I’m going to wear it to dinner in Buckhead tonight!
